The Aegina Pistachio Museum is Taking Shape

An update from the project
The Aegina Pistachio Museum is currently under development within the historic Kapodistrian Orphanage complex in the heart of Aegina.

Over the past months, research, archival work, oral history interviews and exhibition planning have been progressing in collaboration with local producers, historians and members of the island community.

The museum aims to preserve and share the story of the Aegina pistachio — a crop that has shaped the island’s landscape, economy and cultural identity for generations. As the project moves forward, visitors will be invited to explore interactive exhibits, historical archives, educational programmes and the people behind this living tradition.

We look forward to sharing further updates as the museum approaches its opening.
